i have a uncle who is retired state trooper and 2 cousins who are police in a different state. and sometimes i feel a bond with cops in terms of that they are actually trying to protect the community and help people which is what there job is… and sometimes i get pissed off like when i see videos of police brutality on the internet or whatever of them just beating the F out of people who are allegedly innocent. so sometimes i feel cool others times im ready to defend myself.

I’ve had a lot of experiences with police. Most of them from ages 18-20. I had one really bad experience at 24 though when I wasn’t doing anything. Usually when I was up to no good I’d be better at playing it cool around cops. But the time I was 100% innocent was the most nervous I ever got. Cops are people too just gotta treat em like such. It’s easier if you’re a white male like me who’s made it past a certain age/maturity level (haha jokes).
But Young folks and minorities and psychotic folk are probably the biggest targets and even sometimes victims of police. I’m happy to ride in my non discreet car and drive the speed limit etc. I don’t have to worry about much this way.
When I was 20 a cop pulled a gun to my face that was scary but then again I was in the midst of a psychotic break. I laughed through the whole thing truth be told.
