In my therapist parking lot a cop car with a cop in civilian clothes pulled up next to me. You know that feeling when you think you’re being pulled over. My heart sank. I looked at him and he looked at me but then he just went into a building. Cops can trigger powerful feelings.

yeah there was one i passed directing traffic today and he stared at me good. i’m intimitated when i’m falling apart mentally and thats not good.
I don’t like cops they think everyone is a criminal
Again, I’ve never been in trouble with the law but cops make me extremely nervous.
Whenever a cop or cop car is by me my heart sinks.

Ive only ever seen horror stories when it concerns US police, in the UK im fine with them. Ivebeen in custody on two occasions and i didnt feel threatened - i thnk UK police officers are generally less agressive esp when its known the person being detained is a mental health registered patient

yeah i’ve been in custody too and never felt all that threatened only once. i was more afraid of the other inmates becausse i thought i was being moved into the common jail bt i was only held a night. dealt with them all my life from the age of 14 but when i can’t function mentally they react to that but haven’t yet.
