There’s several of us who have, who are, and who might be thinking about continuing their education— so I just figured maybe I’d make a thread where we can post about our journeys.
This is open for anyone to post— whether it be about academics, symptom management while enrolled in a program, or anything else one would like to share.
Just looked at some online masters programs in Public Health— I was thinking this could be a good avenue as it relates to public policy, which I am interested in.
My alma mater has a decent program available, but I just looked at the requirements for application and they want two letters of recommendation… Faaaack. I know like no one anymore . At least the good news is it seems like they don’t want any GRE test scores, lol.
Also looked up micromasters programs as well— thanks to a post here I read a few days ago. They mostly offer like data sciences and stuff, which would go well with my sociology degree, but also seems like a shiitton of math… Hmmmm.
Anyways, lots to think about. Usually I don’t look this kinda stuff up unless I’m feeling better than usual or manic, so yea .
Ah fair enough. In the uk apples are always associated with the letter A in phonics lessons for children so i wasnt too too paranoid - kinda got the message lol
Got first degree, dropped out of school from second. Not taking more â– â– â– â– â– â– â– â– anymore, one time is enough.
And yeah I thought a music degree was different
Now Im focusing on my own health and wellbeing
For my masters im hoping to pick as few mathsy modules as possible. I just dont have the motivation to dedicate to practice - i tried a maths degree, and realised i dont have enough natural talent memory wise so i dropped it. This is despite the fact thay i enjoy maths – which confuses me, bc im shockingly bad at it now.
That being said, in my spare time currently. I only do maths bc i know i need to get over the anxiety, taking slow steps seem to work!
Law. In both instances some professors like to think they are like gods or smthing. The second time around you just don’t buy into their ■■■■■■■■. You are older and know better. So you make more enemies around.
I wasnt confortable beeing 30yo around all teens aswell tbh
Freelance work, if im not wrong, is about building a portfolio and then advertising or publicity/marketing it.
You then attract customers or clients based on being able to provide solutions to their needs (eg. Different designs like logos and things in your case)
