Constipation from clozapine

I got put on laxative sachets when I was on Clozapine. Got rid of the problem.

Yup, I have the same problem. :tired_face::tired_face::tired_face:

This is quite serious. People can die from clozapine induced constipation. Please talk to your doctor and let them know.

I’m not on clozapine, but I do struggle with that same problem. I’m sorry, friend.

I can get constipated
On clozapine 325
But I eat lots fruit and vegetables and drink lots of water which helps

Yes, but i dont know if its from clozapine or the cheese slices i eat.

I take Psyllium Husk for constipation

Yeah I had that problem on clozapine and had to take laxatives I also used marigold tea that seemed to help but ask your doctor first.:smirk:

I had this problem so severe I went to the ER…needless to say they didn’t help much, so I resulted to laxatives and that helped…then for preventative measures I am to take a colace 3x a week.

I have the same problem on olanzapine. I take Citrucel twice a day and a stimulant laxative once per week.

I eat lots of fruit and veggies. I also drink a lot of water so I poop at least once a day.

I take Ducolace - something like that. Twice a day. Causes no discomfort and doesn’t get in your system. A wonder ‘drug’ for me. You take it all the time.

I did this colon cleanse years ago. Bought the kit off the internet. I wish I could remember what it was called. That ■■■■ (pun intended) really worked. It had in it what I called it poo poo tea. This tea that made you poop.

I take doc o lace twice a day and sena at night for cloz constipation…

My pcp told me Miralax is safe to take daily. I take half a cap because more causes diarrhea. Stool softeners stopped working. Dulcolax can cause dependence.
