My older brother years ago said that he looked up to me. That was a little surreal.

A very good friend of mine is building a milion dollar house. He is smart and very energetic.
About two years ago he said to me:
“Everything I know, it came from you”.
Well, was a nice compliment. He knows more that I know, but we used to influence each other a lot.

I remember some compliments.

One person once asked an autograph.
Calling me attractive
Calling me smart
A boss who wanted to buy me flowers for a project I nailed
Awards I won

Anyway, it’s all very vain. I can put things in perspective.

Over the years of my life I was called lots of actors name since they saw some resemblence: Alain Delon, Arnold, Brad Pitt, Ricky Martin, Bay Watch (David Husselhof beach running)…
Even in the ward I had one whom said I looked like Banderas…lol… I did not see that coming since ever since the ward my look changed a lot…

That is loads of compliments. I have been complimented at work for doing good job on some occasions. Also been called handsome by some people. Apart from that not much. I would like to avoid negative self talk and rumination about unhelpful thoughts that will be much better than getting compliments for now.

I’ve been told I resemble Natalie Portman, and Arwen in lord of the rings. I’ve been told twice I look like Emma Watson a tiny bit. And in one photo of me someone said I reminded them of Britney spears.

On the other hand, I’ve been told I have a road sign head, been called spotty dog, and been mistaken and made fun of that I look like a boy. A teacher even said to me are u turning into one of the witches cos I was spotty and we were studying macbeth.

Thought I should balance out those mad beautiful compliments for a bit of grounding.

I’m sorry you got picked on by a teacher.

I have a distant family member who got picked on by her teacher and she went to a child psychologist because of that.

On my last job performance review, my boss wrote that I’m really funny but I try to hide it. I guess that’s a complement? I’m secretly hilarious.
