Colonoscopy anyone?

I’m having my first colonoscopy next week. Wish me luck! Anyone else have one? I’m 55 yrs old.

I’ve had a few. I think it cleansed all of the Ap out of me. I was psychotic for a few months after my last one.

I’ve had two, it’s a quick process, the numbing agent usually works fine

My first one I was nervous but it ended up being painless and was over before I knew it. My second one was just routine.

Take probiotics because cleaning for colonoscopy removes gut microbiota. Probiotics will reduce SZ symptoms.

I just had my first one about 2 months ago. It’s true what they say, the prep is the worst part. They gave me propofol and fentanyl and i slept wonderfully through the whole procedure. It wasn’t that bad at all. In mine they only found 2 polyps but one was precancerous so i have to get my next colonoscopy in 5 years instead of 10.

i had one a few weeks ago. Just to rule out things. It all came back clear. I coudlnt be sedated for it cos i have 2 children to deal with. I had gas to breathe in to help with the pain. It gets uncomfortable. To be honest the clearing out process before hand with the drinks is the worst part.

Anually (and if you read that as “anally”, it’s apropos). The joy of diverticular disease. The worst part is drinking the PEG slop the day before and the diarrhea from hell it causes.

I took one a couple of years ago. I didn’t know what to expect from the colon cleanse you have to drink. But I found out the best strategy was to just bring the remainder of the drink in to the bathroom and camp there. Uncontrollable diareah. Even on my way to the procedure next day it felt like I could have a trouser accident at any time, but luckily it went ok.

i had one and they cut out a second tumor. it saved my life and im on chemo now.

I’ve had 2. Was sedated for both. They went well. I had some polyps removed the first time but no problems either time.
