Cat or dog person?

I am a dog person. I do like my cats though, especially my boy cat, he’s a pimp.

But he’s very observant and not as fun as my dog who licks my face incessantly and ■■■■.

My cats have thumbs. It’s a thing. The term is “polydactyl”. They’re nicer and quieter than most cats.

I like cats but they more fascinate me rather than make me feel much empathy. I mean my cats are cool but my dogs just seem so much more human. My cats are like little scientists objectively observing my odd behavior.

Dog fan here. More personable and friendly. Cats don’t GAF about anything. All they care about is boxes, sleeping, clean coat, and food. It doesn’t even care if it makes you deathly sick from Toxiplasmosis. Little bastards. They belong in a zoo - nice to be admired from a distance, but a real nuisance in person.

Pooches on the other hand, well they’re just goofy. As long as you’re nice to them and give them food, they’ll love on you and chew on your $hit just to prove it. I have half a fear of being attacked by cats. Those nails! Daaaaamn! What’s a dog gonna do? Cat will scratch you and run. Dog will just $hit on the floor out of spite. They’re so much more fun! I love dogs.

Both.

I like both.

Some cats act like dogs and some dogs act like cats.

Cat person here. My cat is very loveable. When I cry, she jumps up to my lap, licks the tears away and snuggles my neck like she is giving me a hug. She follows me throughout the house where ever I go, she goes. When I lay down to sleep, she lays next to me and puts her chin on my stomach or leg. She is also very smart, she can do tricks and it’s her mission to attack and kill every bug that enters the house. She has also never scratched me, we’ll take that back, this fourth she was sitting on my lap, a m80 went off in front of the house, she jumped down to go hide and in her rush she scratched my leg that pushed off with.

Cat person. Not at all a dog person, except possibly using them as a food source. Can’t understand keeping one as a pet.

Definitely a cat person here. I don’t have a cat now but when I was in my childhood to early adulthood my parents and I had two cats. One of them became my cat, she was the most affectionate cat I ever saw. When i was 22 and she 18, we had to put her to sleep - one of the saddest days of my life. We had dogs too, but I always preferred cats, as much as I like dogs too.

I’m a bird person, too. Kept lots of budgies over the years.

Nah Im Good “brah” .

Cat person! I like dogs but find them overwhelming. Definitely couldn’t provide adequate care for one on my own. My roommate has two and I love them but they are definitely hers, not mine.

I have two cats and one of them is crazy in much the same way I am - suspicious and frightened and prone to seeing innocuous things as threatening one day, then having no issues at all the next. We bond by curling up under the covers together and sitting very quietly.

My other cat is just totally easy going, all “Let’s SNUGGLE and FIGHT and eat SNACKS, maybe ALL AT ONCE.” He’s good for getting me out of my head, probably in the same way a dog could be, but much lower pressure.

Like them both in other peoples care. I wouldn’t like getting up to take my dog out in the winter. Cats litter box stinks, even when you try and mask the stench.

Cats are easier though to take care of. Dogs are friendlier IMO.

That’s actually what makes them so awesome. The dysfunctional companion for dysfunctional people.
