Career goals?

Well one of my colleagues asked me this question. What job I’ve done and what my future goals are. I said I’d like to progress etc but what I really wanted to say is … I want to continue to work whatever job it is because for me being able to continue working is a great part of my recovery … but of course I can’t say that.

i still have great ideals and dreams about working in a job connected to art and i hope this wish will come true, but the reality is that i will have to work or volounteer to anything i can handle - right because it will help with recovery

Used to be a tire technician, I dream of returning to that but realistically I will never work again, I’ve been on the med carousel since 2012 and while some meds keep me functioning, I will never be able to handle the stress of the automotive industry.

My goal is to have career goals.
By “career” do you mean a professional line of work? Or does any job count as a career?

Me too. At 56 years old my energy seems to be sapped by physical jobs which I’ve had almost my entire working life. So now is the time to find some job that is less strenuous than unloading trucks for four years or stocking shelves. My janitor job is fairly easy, but now, tasks like vacuuming a whole office building wing which I could handle OK just a couple of years ago, takes a lot out of me. I have some energy still left in the tank and I have half a brain so i guess I have a shot at finding another line of work.
