How much of this year's goals have you accomplished?

Two months ago someone made a post asking what goals people want to accomplish by the end of the year. So what are they and how are they coming? So far I managed to stabilize and get my brain to recover more, keep one of my two volunteer jobs and do my one class, realize I want to take IT next semester and landed a job (not sure if paid) doing once a week IT database work. Also did some projects I’m pretty proud of at volunteering. However I haven’t lost a pound of weight yet. Just trying to stay positive. Have you been keeping up with daily goals?

Right now and next semester I’m probably going to just take class and volunteer and look for some contracted work doing computers. Right now I’m leaning towards starting a business from home in computers one day and getting housing vouchers so I can move into a place with my boyfriend. I can work a little right now, but I don’t like working in certain high stress environments. How are you doing? You took an exam for accounting right? You can get lots of jobs with that! How are you doing?

Going to career training class really helped me clear my career goals. It made me realize that certain aspects of a job like a happy environment, being able to problem solve and use my brain, polite and friendly people, and how a job makes me feel are very important to me. That’s why I’m taking it slow and trying out different classes and volunteer work to see what I could potentially enjoy doing long term. I’m glad you are volunteering! It is important to stay active, and just try to live a healthy life.

Oh this is pretty easy, I have gotten Nada,Zero, Zip, none of the only 2 goals I had this year.
I just kinda gave up swimming upstream.

It’s easier not to have goals. No disappointment. I do my dishes before both sinks are full. I get my kids to and from school. They are well fed. That pretty much is the energy I have.

I tried to make it my goal to read 52 books this year and I’m at about 22 or so. No real tangible goals other than it’s been 6 months since my last stay so I find that to be a small accomplishment.

My goal for the past 20 years is to kiss a french woman. It hasn’t happened yet but I won’t give up.

That’s more than me, and I try to read quite often. I’m on my 8th or 9th book probably this year. Only read for a few hours a week nowadays… That’s a good hobby to have. good job claps hands

  1. Be in a better place mentally - nope I have got so much worse lmao.

  2. Get A*, A*, A in my A-levels and get into my first choice university… - absolutely not :joy:

This year was a huge recovery year for me but I have managed to meet a few of my goals. My biggest one was to prepare for a Bookkeeping program which starts next semester. There are no exams or anything but I needed to refresh my math so that I’d feel confident enough to enroll.

At the beginning of 2017 I didn’t set any goals. I was still having a victim mentality, all I wanted was to survive another year and keep an eye on sz research progress.
However, around mid-June I suddenly decided to taper off my antipsychotic and also start CBT. It has proven to be a very wise decision. Since then I have recovered greatly, especially as regards my lack of motivation and poverty of speech which were linked to poor quality of life and little social interaction. I have also lost about 7kg (15 pounds).
My goal now for the remainder of 2017 is to keep improving in the area of avolition and start working as a freelancer from home. These are pretty high expectations but I hope I’ll be able to meet them.

Everyone, don’t give up! You can get better! Get your meds sorted! Try therapy! Don’t shy away from the world, keep interacting with people!

Indeed, in my case (deficit schizophrenia, 3 years stable on meds after my first and only psychotic break), my pdoc agreed that we could try quitting the AP. So far it’s going well.
