Im not suicidal. Im worried actualy. I just read about (ill post the links at the bottom) why Static X frontman Wayne Static died. He mixed xanax with alcohol and that caused an overdose and thats why he died. Can something similar happen if you mix antipsychotics with alcohol? I dont´t think having a beer is a problem, but getting a little drunk (not wasted)…it frightens me now to get a little drunk again. I dont take xanax or any other similar medication, just an ap called invega.

i don;t know about invega but i’m pretty sure that you can drink on most anti psychotics. all it does is get you drunk quicker and/or heightens or dampens the effects of the anti-psychotic. this wayne guy must’ve been loaded with xanax for it to have killed him. i wouldn’t worry too much.
Too much alcohol can kill you, I have known several persons in the past who have died due to their alcohol abuse. I do not think that mixing alcohol and meds is a good idea.
you know you can ven mix anti psychotics with cocaine, speed and/or marajuana and still be ok. a lot of people that use drugs to go to clubs or raves use antipsychotics bought on the black market to come down off of clubland drugs. seroquel is called suzie q and they also use zyprexa. just a lil nugget of info for you there that you probably didn’t want to know.

I don´t drink that much so i could´t die from drinking too much alcohol mjseu. But i did notice i get less drunk then before i was put on ap and i dont enjoy it as much either. I also belive this is because of an antipsychotic.
Still can´t say no to a good beer or wine, im just worried now after reading this about Wayne.
My idiot brother takes Ativan - a strong benzo and drinks alcohol on the airplane, when he travels.
He peed in his pants from losing control of his nervous system - Dumb!
I warned him about mixing alcohol and benzos, dont know if he got my message.
Very dangerous mix - taking antipsychotics and drinking alcohol is not as bad, but still dangerous
