Caffeine sensitivity?

Seems lately I can’t handle my coffee. 2 8oz cups and I get jittery, stomach aches and feels hollow. It’s actually an uncomfortable feeling, I feel like I’ve been bingeing on 8-10 cups for hours.

I’ve checked my blood sugars and they’re within normal ranges.

Has happened once or twice before. I’ve researched meds that may cause it and I didn’t find anything.

Only thing I can think is that I’m becoming more sensitive to it. Need to watch it.

Any thoughts? Experience? Relate?

My life has turned around recently (like within the the last month or so) since I gave up caffeine.

No more anxiety, getting up at a reasonable time , more able to handle stress. Etc etc.

The withdrawals were hellish for about 2 weeks though !

Maybe it’s time for me to give it up too. I didn’t feel like this when I first woke up, actually felt better then.

I’m glad it’s helped you by giving it up! That’s really cool dude. I should follow your lead. I’m giving it serious thought.

Thanks EH.

I have to take a tolerance break from coffee every now and then, with it comes headaches but then I feel much better after.

Thats too much. I limit myself to 2 cups/day. More than that and I get irritable and nervous.

I haven’t drank that much in years.

Back in my addiction days I would drink that much and feel horrible too. It’s the same feeling if I remember right.

I remember getting a Tim Hortons take ten and finishing it myself, that was in my stupid 20’s.

Lately I’ve limited myself to 3 cups a day. But I think it’s time to give it up.

I switched to caffeine free ground coffee. It’s more expensive, but it tastes better than powder coffee. Coffee is more than just caffeine. I still feel I get invigorated by drinking it, but my mind doesen’t get hyper when the caffeine is gone. I have always been very sensitive to caffeine.

I try and keep it down with just one caffeine drink a day or so.

is your motivation less or same now that you are off caffeine?

My motivation has improved. But I still feel “lazy”. I do feel more able to carry out tasks though.

@Ooorgle

I’m the same way. If I drink any caffeinated drink, I can count on anxiety and panic attacks all day.
