I didn’t plan on spending much in the used vinyl store, but every time I go there I seem to find some gems. Some of the artists I got were: Tom Petty, R.E.M., Anita Baker, Eric Clapton, Sly & the family stone and Leonard Cohen.
I used to, but I switched to CDs. Easier to store, easier to play and maintain. Still a lot of fun collecting physical media. I also used to collect 80’s VHS tapes
Its all about digital for me. But congrats on the new vinyl. There is something enchanting about listening to vinyl and not being able to pause it etc.
It turns out my mom and dad kept all their old vinyl classical records and some records we listened to as kids such as Mary Poppins I keep finding stacks of them around my moms house as Im going through the house and sorting through stuff in various cabinets and storage boxes. Im not sure what to do with them so Ill probably just leave them where I found them.
Always Ebay and other venues. You might have some hard to get vinyl you can turn over for some coin. I don’t mind selling on ebay. It’s problematic sometimes to pack and send but you can do local pick up. Pack and send places eat into your profit but some things are really worth getting something for…rather than just sit in a loft somewhere…someone may enjoy them!
My family bought me a bluetooth turntable for my 50th. As someone who’se moved overseas and came back home with a suitcase I’m committed to decluttering in my life but still. I’m back collecting vinyl. Not a lot but I have been buying good listens for my bluetooth. Last buy was Pink Floyds The Wall. I had an unhealthy relationship wth that record in the past. Absolutely loved it but it was good to revisit. I listen to more youtube than vinyl though but am setting aside time to actually do it.
I have the wall on vinyl too. Absolute classic. Vinyl is good for relaxing. Just comitting to listening to a album without interfering the way one can with streaming music.
