Projected energy bill this month is $680 if I keep using AC.
Blacked out my windows with vinyl window cling. This room was unable cool even with AC.
Think I can reduce my energy bill by 30% next month.

I recommend window ac units they use less power than central air
I was wondering about that option. This room is on the 2nd floor. Feels like a sauna.
The window ac units work really well we have 3 and we run them all day and all night our electric bill is around 100 bucks you can get a decent one at wal mart for 150 bucks
I used a 500 watt window ac for my bedroom. Worked great and low electrical use.
My energy bill was $20.00 this month and I’m going to split that in half with a roommate. I have an electric fan.
That is really low.
I have opened a ticket with the power company to reduce my bill.
They are over charging me.
But I started turning off AC by half so bill doesn’t keep adding up.
I’ve used aluminum foil to block out windows from light before so aluminum foil is a cheap alternative
We have two window units. We don’t use them a whole lot because this is right by the ocean, and we have only so much money. Our bill is a lot more than $100.
You can get a good fan off of Amazon for $40.00. If you’re paying almost $700 a month for AC maybe a $40 fan for each room would be a good, cheaper alternative
I have only 1 split unit AC in my bedroom that I use for maybe 6 hours a day. My electricity bill is $75 TT a month (about US$11). I have a fridge, AC, microwave, a fan that is on all day and night, I dont keep any lights on at night.
