Upset about the higher temps coming

It will be over a hundred degrees for about a week next week…103 and 101 for highs…our window units can’t keep up…thinking about hosing down the roof on those days.

Considering a AC? They have portable mini AC’s that are capable of cooling down a room or two. I think they cost about 500-1000$. Can be good to have in the bedroom.

I live in a country that doesen’t have many hot days pr. year, otherwise I would probably invest in one.

we have one each in each bedroom and one in the living room…can’t afford another a/c …i wish !!

Most of my house has central ac. Three bedrooms upstairs have personal ACs. They aren’t window units but they are just for one room. Our Ac will cool downstairs to 68 degrees when it’s a 100 degrees out. Any lower and it never shuts off. My Mom has a huge house and hers will only cool down to 72 or 73.

We have a portable ac we use in the bedroom and it can only cool it down to like 75 with all the doors shut.

How hot does it get in your house with the acs on?

probably about 80’s I think spraying down the roof will help though…I haven’t done that in a long time and it seems to help.

Yikes. I mountain biked last weekend for several hours in about 90F . Then drove for 5 hours with no AC and got heat exhaustion :flushed:
Fixed my ac tho now

I hate heat. We dont have AC so it gets really hot in our little house. Supposed to be 95 tomorrow. Im not looking forward to sweating all day

That’s hot. I lived in El Paso for a while and we didn’t have AC but a swamp cooler. It was a rental. We moved out and bought a house and had it converted to refrigerated air. That was too hot.

I had a rental house once in San Diego that didn’t have ac at all but it rarely got hot there. We kept the windows upstairs open at night. Glad we never got robbed.
