My parents and brother have dealt with bed bugs twice both times they had to move and abandon everything.

Never had bed bugs, before. It sounds disgusting and stressful, though.
My worst experience with bugs is when I saw an ant on the wall (in my old house), then suddenly there were millions of them coming out of the hole and climbing all over the walls. I freaked out and it was hard to go back in there to sleep, even after they were gone and taken care of.
I also recently almost stepped on a centipede on the floor in my room. it was the grossest thing ever, I wanted to throw up. My skin was crawling for days…
I do like bugs, but not centipedes.

Yeah we had/have them to in my board & care home. The management fumigated and they came back. They fumigated three more times before they got rid of them.
Maybe it was @BonBonSquad who dealt with bedbugs and lived to tell the tale?
Ew that’s so awful!! It is so hard to get rid of bed bugs too. I’m glad I’ve never had to deal w that. Good luck exterminating!!
I guess if I had bed bugs I’d take action!
