We did so much cleaning yesterday, the beds and around the beds, then made them up nice and clean, but still at 2 a.m. I was getting bit and scratching all over. Phil had been sleeping on the couch, says he got bit on there too. Ohhh, I think we’re gonna need an exterminator, but Phil says it will cost a lot of money. This is such a nightmare. Never had this before. We also folded a lot of clean clothes yesterday, and did a few more loads. I’m willing to go down there now that he’s got a lamp down there, the overhead light is out. The electricity in this house really worries me, over the half the outlet don’t work, and my chandelier is out too, so is my bedroom light on overhead fan. That almost started a fire.
So it’s bed bugs that are causing your rash on your arm? It’s good that you know now.
I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this. It sounds like a nightmare.
yeah, last night I turned my bathroom light on
and that seemed to help. Wasn’t sure I’d be able to sleep, but I did.
Cost a friend of mine 1500.00 to get his house done, they super heated it
Is it cheaper just to move? Do you have the money?
Bed bugs will move with you, they are in the funiture, clothes etc
Holy crap!!!
Bed bugs are pretty much poison resistant these days, but the super heating of the house is guaranteed to work. They seal the house and then heat it to the temperature that kills them all.
It is the only sure fired method of extermination, but the most costly. Worth it though!
I’m so sorry you’re going through this @Daze. It especially sucks because you’re low income and can’t afford to fix it. Ugh! That really sucks!
I think you can get this spray at Walmart for inexpensive but you have to make sure to spray again in 2 weeks. TBH though you’ll probably end up having to call the exterminator anyway.
A fairly new friend of mine was bitten by a bed bug and went Septic. Instead of paying the 1800 for the exterminator, she sold her trailer and went to section 8 housing. She had 2 surgeries from that one bite on her neck. She was so incapacitated that they put her in a nursing home for a month.
I had bed bugs in my room at the house I was staying at with uncle, grandma, etc.
I steamed my room, clothes, and slept on an air mattress every day until I moved in brothers apartment.
Luckily I don’t have many clothes. But when I moved in I took off my clothes (all of them [blush]) and put them in a tote then threw boiling hot water in it.
I steamed the clothes that I put on when I changed too.
We have not had any problems here.
