The first thing I have done when I woke up the past three mornings is kill about 10 or 15 bedbugs. I got some good spray that I use on most of them. Some of them I squash with my fingers and then rub those fingers in hand sanitizer. For the past three days I have killed at least 50 bedbugs in a single day. I keep hoping I can finally get the better of them, but so far I haven’t. I made my bedbug situation really bad when I brought this overstuffed chair into my room. It had a lot of bedbugs in it. Bedbugs have been in other apartments in a different building too. One time sitting in the back seat of the van I saw four bedbugs crawl across this guy’s back. I hope I don’t have to buy any more spray. It’s expensive. I still have quite a bit of it.
Bedbugs are little demons. One place I stayed in had blood stains everywhere from people who would crush and smear blood engorged bedbugs. I knew a girl who stayed in the same place and she told me to sleep with the lights on because they only come out in the dark. I think that is wrong but they do get you when you are sleeping hence the name. I react badly to bedbug bites they really look gory on my skin. Some people can be fed on with no symptom of bites. However I wouldnt want them feeding on me even f there was no harm done because they will reproduce out of control with regular blood meals. I read a news story about a little old lady who was eaten alive by bedbugs. Those little things are from an episode of x files.
Do you have your own place or do you rent. If you rent then surely your landlord is responsible for extermination?? If you have your own place then you should consider extermination also. Sprays alone wont get rid of the little ■■■■■■■■.
You’ll never get rid of them unless your house is exposed to extreme heat. They literally have to put a tent around your house for a few days and heat it up to kill all the bedbugs which live in walls, and furniture. Maybe get some quotes from some pest companies, tho it sounds expensive af.
You can also put clothes and pillows in trash bags and set them outside in the sun for a couple of days, which will kill them. The only way to truly get rid of them is with extreme temperatures over time.
Just realized you live in an apartment. Just know, when you move out, you’ll need new furniture or they will come with you.
I live in an assisted living center for the mentally ill. A guy comes around and sprays, but I’m still having problems with bedbugs in my room. I bought some pretty good spray myself. I kill a lot of bedbugs with it.
You have to find their nest. Killing individual bugs is next to useless.
