Do you believe that or do you think there is some kind of justice in suffering? Do plagues only attack sinners or do we all need to be immunized as equally at risk?
There is no justice in this life.
That is why people came up with theories like karma and afterlife to find a solution.
I think I had it coming. Considering my upbringing and my learnt behaviour.
I don’t understand what you mean by is there justice in suffering. Do you mean do those who suffer deserve it?
A Syrian kid who gets bombed doesn’t deserve it.
I myself, did drugs and alcohol, etc., do I deserve psychosis? Maybe. I just hope it’s not for life.
I think there’s some truth to the law of attraction.
But the sad part is that we can’t choose what cards we are dealt. What circumstances we are given that shape us the way we are. And hence what we attract.
At least I can try my best with what I’m given.
“The rain falls on the just and the unjust alike.”
It says that somewhere in the Bible.
You have to be a lot more vigilant than when I grew up.
Yes I always believed bad things happen to good people. You see it everyday in the news.
bad things happen to bad people too so, like murderers, pedophiles, and rapists go to jail.
There’s only so much you can control in life. I don’t see that “good” people are immune to all the crap that happens in life. Wars, poverty, illness, incarceration
etc. Even the best person can be victims of those.
Good people don’t have a “get out of jail free card” that’s going to stop a bullet from hitting them or that will keep them financially secure. It ain’t all black & white though. Being a good person can work in your favor for sure. But generally bad stuff happens to both good and bad people alike. If a natural disaster occurs like an earthquake or a flood or a volcano erupts it’s going to wipe out anybody.
