Ashwagandha had done wonders for me!

First @Ninjastar @Bowens @anon4362788 and anyone else that is a mod (I know I’m missing at least one and I’m really sorry for forgetting your username) I’m not sure what category I should have put this under so if I messed up I’m sorry and please feel free to move it to the appropriate category

Soooo I’ve been taking 250 mg a day every morning of the supplement Ashwagandha and it’s been doing wonders for me!

My paranoia is down, my thinking has slowed to a more manageable rate and I finally feel like I can relax and to top it all off my mood is stable and more uplifted! My mom last week noticed my speech has slowed down to a normal rate instead of the high speed rate it usually is! I’m grateful for this stuff! I can slow down and I’m not as quick to anger! I finally feel better mentally! I hope this is a turning point for me!

@Ninjastar thank you I thought I was wrong but didn’t see the medication category and wasn’t sure

Yeah, ashwagandha is a must for me as well. I had kinda forgotten how great it was but just started taking it again a few days ago. Completely relaxes me. Takes away my social anxiety, takes away my depression and anxiety, and helps with my negatives to a degree. I’ve never taken it long term cause the effects are so good, they scare me. Cause sometimes too much of something good can have bad consequences down the road. But I might keep it part of my daily stack and see how it goes. And see if the effects don’t eventually wear off or something.

Well, maybe not part of my daily stack (cause again the effects are too good). But definitely keep it around for when I’m stressed out.

Glad to hear you found a supplement that works for you! Personally, I’ve given up on supplements. I just take my meds and coffee.

I just finsihed a run of taking ashwaganda for about a month. I’m not sure what it did for me. It may have helped calm my mind. It’s not always easy to tell when I take several supplements at the same time.

What brand did you use @Mr_Hope ? Cause ashwagandha is a pretty powerful herb. Depending on the potency of the extract.

I believe it was swanson.

I see, it seems to not be a standardized extract. But I understand the supplement hustle. When you’re already paying a lot for so many other supplements it’s hard to justify buying into one more supplement, especially if it’s an expensive version.

I might try a more high-end supplement in the future. I finished a stint of ashwaganda and bacopa now. And this month I’m switching to lions mane and cat’s claw.

Now with lions mane, I gotta warn you, if you’re buying a cheap version, you’re mostly paying for startch filler. Not to sound like a supplement marketer, but the one that seems to be the only standardized and trusted version is the amyloban. It’s very expensive though. I tried it, and it mostly seemed to lower my anxiety. But good luck.

Yeah i saw that at swanson homepage. It retailed for about 67$ for one bottle. I want to try it, but in addition to the price I would have to pay a hefty toll to get it into my country. The price would probably be double that after toll and expenses.

I ended up buying a version that was half price of that from a local retailer. I haven’t tested it yet though. I got a cold right now and I’m taking it easy on the supplements.

Well I hope the cheaper one still does you some good. I have some cheap stuff laying around, and even I think it sort of does something, not sure though.

I tried and it worsened my positives.

I’m not 100% sure but ashwsgandha raises dopamine, I think.

It also lowers cortisol.

I’m glad if it helps you, though.

May it continue to help and not harm.

Someday I’m going to make a post with everything I’ve tried that has increased my dopamine (or made my positives worse)

Said list will have some surprising things on it, lol.

I just tried one dose of this and about 5 hours later I am feeling better but am now hallucinating, do not touch this stuff! I am hoping it will wear off and stop soon. I feel like I am on some kind of acid trip.

Uh, oh, that’s not good, hope you feel better soon.
