Since starting aripiprazole I have a much better sleep schedule. Previously I’d sleep at random times. Has anyone else had this benefit?

Oh I get sleep but after years on it my sleep pattern is much different. I toke on two hours in the night going to bad a 7 in the evening and a nap for a hour at noon

I have to take some Mirtazapine to get some sleep on Abilify.
Is this because it’s stimulating? I’m getting tired at night as well as awake in the day.
That’s the combo I was on I liked it a lot

I’m on aripiarzole it makes me sleep more than usual but also regularly wake up in the night
I lost my sleep with aripiprazole then I began to be delusional. I had the feeling having drink a lot of coffee.
It was too activating for me and made me very agitated and anxious

I was disappointed as on paper it seemed to be a good drug but just not for me
Im upping to 10mg tomorrow, so far no negative effects on 5mg, also my risperidone is being lowered to 2mg. Hope things work out
Good luck on that? Why you switch to abilify if you are stable on risperidon?
Low libido, but with 5mg abilify its already gotten better, but switch not finished yet

Thanks also worried about metabolic problems like diabetes, wieght gain and cholestoral and less of those issues on abilify compared to risperidone.

in My experience the less paranoid you are the better you sleep. So it could just be now your on medication your not as paranoid and sleeping better.
So far aripiprazole has been great for me. I’m full of energy, I’m not depressed, I’m not constantly hungry and I’m sleeping better. I’ve only just started reducing the olanzapine so it’s to early to tell how well it works as an ap tho.
I tried Abilify and I found it extremely difficult to sleep. I think it’s a great med for those whom it works for. Unfortunately it did not work for me.
I slept way to little on Abilify.
