İ aggree with oe.lifespan is related to life habit not medicine.i don t have any problem with my health at all except little excess trigliserid.i m mostly feeding myself one times a day with boiled vegetable or mediterrian dishes (no breakfast no lunch only night dish) .i don t smoke or drink alcohol.hydrated myself lot.someday exercises(two weeks a day).socialise lot.reading 5 hours a day and play video games 2hours a day(good for memory impairment and cognitive abilities).going work 5 days a week and i m planning to live at least 50 more years.life is miracle and i love life.
I try to mind my lifestyle, excersise and eat, etcetera, but I’m also trying to get connected to god so that when my time comes I will be at peace with it.
Yes its lifestyle you have to change, stop blaming the medication. Schizophrenia made in the past a dirty person, i ate junk food and fast food, never exercise and i smoke but realize this not the path i wanted to do so i decided to change, it didnt change overnight,it took alot work and will power to eat healthy, exercise and quit smoking. It wasnt easy in a long shot but it damn worth it and im glad i did it!
I was unhealthy too, bad diet, smoked, no exercise, negative thinking. I came to the same conclusion and I did the exact thing same thing as you. Quit smoking, started eating healthy, started walking, changed my thinking to be more positive with CBT. I’m in a much better place today than I have ever been. Took time to develop new habits but it’s just normal behavior now, it was worth it.
its just the sedating effects of the meds, if you can find one that allows you to function at your peak then thats great, but sedation will cause you to slow down and be unmotivated, tiired and so we do other things to try and satisfy our needs, some people drink, smoke, take drugs its bad news, the meds affect our pyhsiology as well so we are more prone to health problems. i think our metabolism slows down too and we may strugglle to fight off bugs bc it affects our immune system i think as well,
I hope you get through everything ok, i will pray for you and your father,
my dad died 2014 and we all watched him deteriorate slowly until the enevitable happened, i had to accept it bc i cannot control life or death its not nice, my ex died 2019 as well and we were still close, i held her had as she passed heartbreaking tbh its horrible but the world has to move on i didnt want to let it afffect me, i just ssort of sucked it up
its just one of those things we have to live with the way things are right now i have thought a lot about death i use to say that i am not afraid of death but i am, i am ■■■■ scared i have been talking about it a little on a christian forum
