APs permanent brain damage

No but you need more than a few weeks to judge it

There’s a chance negatives get less. I agree a few weeks is too short a time…it takes a while for your brain to bounce back. And there’s a chance to improve things even with negatives. Don’t give up.

Maybe you’re feeling bad due to quitting meds kinda quickly and that’s masking any improvements in negatives. I had a bad habit of quitting cold turkey and sometimes withdrawals got me feeling really down. When I quit lurasidone that way because I was having akathisia I spent a few days in a sort of lethargic desperation, probably due to the med itself but felt as bad as being ill.

I feel same on and off meds.

I feel like and from previous experience negative symptoms only improve when I get positive symptoms, dopamine increase causes both.

If you stay on 2mg you will get a bit of positives. It takes time. Your negs will improve. In months.

I am on 1.5mg no positives yet. I will have 3mg prn if I ever quit meds.

I was crawling on the ground thinking I was dying from panic attack symptoms. That’s what meds did to me. My sz wasnt that bad before meds.

Yes my first psychosis wasn’t so bad, after I got on meds and stopped them for 2yrs psychosis got much worse including negative symptoms. I feel like meds damage the brain.

They do. We’re really f’d now that we have taken them. Even a little sz is enough to f up everything though. I was in a bad place when a small town health team bullied me into taking meds. I tried killing one of them.

The meds are still primitive. I tried smashing one guy in the head with a brick after they injected me with invega with no follow up. I never did anything violent before. Good thing he got away. I still hate that guy though.

Did your negative symptoms improve when you were off meds for 1yr? Did you have more energy?

Everything improved

I agree. I had anxiety, but not psychosis, before meds. After meds I had a whole range of severe issues. I hate the doctors who gave me these drugs.

I also agree with giving it time.

I like my invega hafyera injection. Every six months just two injections a year. Doesn’t give me a bad feeling because I use benadryl for akathisia symptoms. I was much worse off without the aps so I’m sticking with them. If you don’t need aps then maybe it’s not sz you experience and something else? Not sure because I’m not a pdoc.

Many things can damage the brain. Doesnt mean it prevents you from living you just have to adjust to it. Ive had atleast 6 minor concussions im sure thats added to my brain difficulties but i dont really think about it as ā€œpermanent damageā€. Drug and alcohol abuse can also permanently damage the brain.

I will wait before going back on Wellbutrin. I want to be off meds first. I want 300-450mg.
