Anyone trying to quit caffeine?

I’m trying again. I quit the can or two a day of Coca-cola, and now I’m working on the coffee. I’m going to have some at my psych clinic tomorrow, and then that’s it. I have a third of a jar of instant coffee I’m going to use up, maybe just a cup a day until it’s gone.

There were a few times I went without coffee since I started drinking it in 2010 two months before I turned 20. The first time for about two months when I was in college. I lived across the street from a grocery store and Target and had some money from one of my grandmas but never bought any coffee. I don’t know why. Anyway I never had any headaches or any other symptoms.

I was considering qutting coffee. But I’m not sure if it’s worth the effort for me… I don’t drink that much anyway. If I could quit without going through withdrawals, I would do it…

Try cutting out soda and drinking coffee black or with sugar free cream and no sugar

I quit caffeine. This is not going to be believed but I swear 10mg (Zyprexa) felt like 20mg when I took coffee. The effect of caffeine was nice the moment you took it but then when it went away it felt like I was taking more but a lot more of Zyprexa.

Are you having zyprexa in the morning with coffee ? That’s crazy

No, I take it at night. Sorry but I don’t speak English so maybe I couldn’t make myself understood. While the effect of caffeine lasted I felt great but when it ended my negatives were a lot more horrible then without caffeine.

I wanted to try, but then school started. I started reading in my health textbook how people with anxiety should avoid it. But now I’m addicted to diet cokes, and I drink coffee every day. My old therapist said not to quit, that the anxiety disorder really overpowers anything caffeine is doing. And my prescriber said that a host of problems come when you try to quit.

I know in the past, when I’ve tried to quit, I got headaches. So idk.

I think caffeine in moderation helps relieve anxiety and stress , but yes to much can have the opposite effect

I don’t drink coffee or tea at home and get a Coke when I get smokes so when I quit smoking I’ll stop getting a can with it and just have when I get takeaway which is just a couple of days a week I normally drink cordial at home

I think we are all trying to quit something. Hopefully someday I’ll have no habits or addictions. But then again I wonder if I’ll be alive.
