How do u like it?151515
Abilify works the best for me, so I like Abilify. It keeps me from being delusional, without trying.
I’m taking it. I’ve been taking it for nearly 10 years now. I hate it. But it’s kept me stable and out of the hospital all that time, so I’m afraid to change it now.
Why do u hate it?
Physical and mental anxiety.
I put up with it. Also I take some supplements now that help with the anxiety. Initially I used to take a benzo (for the first year) but voluntarily came off that.
That sucks. I hope it doesnt do that to me as i raise the dose. What’s ur dose? Right now i’m only taking 2.5 mg cause i started it 2 days ago and am trying to raise it slowly.
Works fine for me. Sometimes im sleepy but that’s about it. I get anxiety too. But its so normal to me now that i dont care anymore. I just let it be a part of me - not that it makes any sense to do so
I take 15mg. 10mg is the minimum dose for schizophrenia.
I’m on the injection
Not sure if it gives me any side effects but when I was on abilify pills it gave me side effects
I was on abilify for two months and it caused the worst anxiety I’ve ever had. The only thing that made it better was trying something else. I was grateful to go off it. It helped my hallucinations but made me a ball of intense anxiety. @everhopeful
Yes, it’s the only downside to Abilify for me. Fortunately the supplements I have make it manageable and not unbearable.
It’s ironic because I switched to seroquel because of the anxiety and long story short seroquel nearly killed me. So because of seroquel I went running back to Abilify.
I am on 15 mg Abilify, along with 100 mg Seroquel at bedtime, and 25 mg Seroquel x2 PRN in daytime. The PRN Seroquel helps to take the edge of my anxiety. I also take 15 mg mirtazapine.
I take Seroquel as well, I just started to……I take 150 mgs as well.
Did it make anyone sweaty? I feel unusually sweaty.
The low dose Seroquel helps me to sleep better and makes my daytime anxiety/paranoid thinking more bearable.
It increases body temperature and is not recommended to exercise vigorously. This is one of the little touted side effects
Personally how I feel though is that I wouldn’t want to avoid vigorous exercise though
