I start this dose on wednesday. My pdoc upped it to see if it helps with the depression symptoms and also the intrusive thoughts, paranoia, etc.
Just curious of others experiences. Im currently on 15mg. No akathasia so far with this med.
Its been a lot of med changes in the last few months. I just want something to do me good.
It’s all personal trial and error. Personally I found 20mg to be too much for me, and I felt like a zombie on it.
10mg was too little for me, so now I’m on 15mg and that suits me just fine.
I wish it didn’t give me bad akathisia
I heard it’s better for intrusive thoughts etc
Looking for something to help me with that too now
Hopefully this ends up being the right dose for me. I still get intrusive thoughts, etc.

I’ve been on 20mg of Abilify for the past 16 years. I also take clozapine. Works ok for me.
I’m on 25mg for many years now. On 15mg I had a lot of breaktrough symptoms. On 20mg I still had paranoia and delusions. 25mg is best for me. On 30mg the side effects get bad (facial ticks, twitches and restless legs).
I was on 25 mg! It was a nightmare. I think therapeutically is supposed to be max 15 mg per day for it to be therapeutic. If it is more it gets really bad, but they did it to stabilize me once i was stabilized they lowered it to 15mg… i didn’t like the feelings of it over 15mg, I started feeling like a zombie and eating a lot
I was on 20mg aripiprazole and now at 15mg , for me up and down works well.
Everyone responds differently
Some people 15mg doesn’t work but 20mg does

I agree with Keylow because a friend of mine is on 30 mg abilify and 15 mg Zyprexa. He told me that the abilify took care of his depression while the Zyprexa took care of his psychosis.
