Kinda not really

I’m vegetarian, but I eat a ton of vegan food just because I don’t need dairy for every meal.

My main tip is to stay away from imitation meat products. They all taste just enough like real meat to make you depressed that you can’t have the real thing. Vegetables and fruits taste amazing on their own, they don’t need to try to pretend to be meat.

Get loads of lentils, beans, nuts, etc. Red lentil noodles taste great if you can afford them, and are an easy way to sneak extra protein into your diet.

Garlic. So much garlic.

I was a vegan for 10 years and got a lot stronger. Now, I eat almost everything except cow’s milk I’m not to keen on.

I’m vegan. For me, knowing that it could increase my penis length, pushed me over the edge. So, maybe researching all the health benefits of being vegan.

Oh one tip I have is. If you need iron, tomatoe paste (especially the imported ones from Italy) have high iron and won’t have you passing gas all day like beans. Fyi if you do have problems with gas and you probably will as a vegan MINT tea is your best friend. Clears up gas quickly and effectively

I’ve been realising how great veg are for half my life.
I understand what you mean
Meat makes for lazy veg cooking and real centrepiece type destruction of how good vegetables taste

I’ve been eating so many veg I must’ve become tired of them
There was suddenly pizza and chicken and chocolate
I think I’ve put 2 lbs on for every month since Covid plus 8 lbs from stress eating with a course I did on line

I’ve only been back eating meat for a few weeks
And struggling with too much total junk

It has become life or death for me

It’s good that you say that you are vegetarian
I think it sounds better than struggling vegan

@PinCushion
10 years is a good long time
when I was strict I could not stand cheese in hospital for 3 months I thought it was more honest to eat meat than body fluids
Then I just bought the organic stuff when I could

I didn’t really have a choice. I developed an allergy to meat.

I’m trying to be a vegan for the environmental reasons. And for health reasons. It is a tough transitional process so not sure I should provide ‘advice’ as I have hiccups on more than one occasion. However, I am trying again tomorrow. Was meant to be today as it’s April 1st.but…just didn’t feel like the right day today.

I have been vegan for the past 6 years. If you have any questions about the food intake/lifestyle I’d be happy to answer as best as I can. :blossom:

@Watchers
Thank you !
Is there a food I should eat more of to be satisfied?
Any foods that are grounding?

In my brief break of conscience I’ve eaten some meat again for a few weeks and felt energetic and more like myself in a way

My ex gf and I both gained 45 lbs. each on a vegan diet. That was definitely not the way to go. All those carbs!

This is a really good sign that you weren’t getting proper nutrition on a vegan diet.

I’m a vegetarian and I’ve tried to be vegan on several occasions. I’m really enjoying Pinterest to find vegan recipes. I also enjoy motivation from facebook groups.

Have you seen Seaspiracy on netflix?

No… I’m sure it’s awful
Maybe mum has it on her Netflix if I can I’ll look for it tomorrow

Give me every meat wrapped in bacon and soaked in bacon fat! Haha :joy: I couldn’t be vegan or vegetarian ever!!!

I was vegan for like six months trying to impress some guy in college.

I was vegetarian for like 8 years.

Now I eat meat and dairy.

It’s easier and feels more balanced.
