Do you usually have a lot of sugar? Could be withdrawals from sugar addiction

I was eating a lot of hotdogs, homemade pizzas and hamburgers. Also a lot of saturated fat, cheese etc. Yeah I know, you probably see why I thought it was time to do something. :sob:

But not a lot of added sugar.

Now I’ve switched to a diet of only Whole Foods. Potatoes, vegetables, wholegrains, fruit, fish and meat, also some milk and butter.

I want to start eating healthy as well. I am being inspired by all of you guys!

I normally eat a pretty unhealthy diet, low in fruits and veggies, and extremely high in sugar as I am a sugar addict. I guess I’m going to start by switching from regular cereal every morning to oatmeal, and I’ve already done that. I’ve already made the switch from iced tea to water. I’m going to eat more nuts, seeds and raisins, which I’m already doing, and buy more fruit. I’m going to do even more cooking, incorporating many meats, spices and veggies.

How long did it last for you?

Great! I also eat oatmeal in the morning now. Are you eating them raw or cooked? I’m still figuring out what’s the best, raw is definitely more convenient though.

At least a month. I still have a lot of junk food cravings. I do my best to avoid watching commercials.

It’s 3pm and I didn’t eat today yet.

Feel really low. I don’t feel like eating.

Anyway I was at my parents, not near my home.

I heard fast food chains use a lot of chemicals to get you hooked

I don’t know if it is specific chemicals or just processed sugar and lots of salt, but I get some and all I want is more more more. Then I am miserable for weeks when I can’t have more. Best not to touch it in the first place. Nearly as bad as cig cravings.

:sob:

Lol true dude I heard it from a YouTube video so idk if it’s a credible source in terms of the chemicals causing addiction but. One thing is for sure they use a ton of chemicals. I used to think McDonald’s fries and burgers were essentially just meat and potatoes… Nope

*"The list includes several different kinds of cooking oils and preservatives, as well as antioxidants and anti-foaming agents.

Chemicals on the list include dimethylpolysiloxane, sodium acid pyrophosphate, and tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) — which are all FDA-approved. "*

Apparently there’s 19 total ingredients in their fries.

McDonald’s is trying to clean things up so they are better now, but there was some weird stuff in their products. Polydimethylsiloxane is also used in making silicone breast implants.
