Generally, eating disorders are treated with therapy. Certain eating disorders, like BED and bulimia, can be treated with medications plus therapy.
I’ve suffered with an eating disorder for many years, and I’ve been diagnosed with both anorexia and bulimia.

In the UK they are treated with therapy and sometimes medication. For example with bulimia I know prozac is licensed for that illness. I personally had anorexia and had to go hospital for two weeks. Why do u ask? Is there a tiny small feeling that maybe u have one?

Yes, I am not hungry, but I still want to eat.sometimes eat more than I need, then I will feel uncomfortable.

If it only happens sometimes it’s ok.

5 signs to watch for

You may have an eating disorder if you answer yes to two or more of the following: 1) Do you force yourself to vomit because you’re uncomfortably full? 2) Do you worry that you’ve lost control over how much you eat? 3) Have you lost >14 lbs. in a 3-month period? 4) Do you believe you’re fat when others think you are too thin? 5) Does thinking about food dominate your life? (from AARP magazine).

So I need to see a doctor about this.

Yes that would be a good idea and then they will refer you to a specialist hopefully. The sooner you get it treated the better. It can erode your teeth and damage your oesophagus in the long run but you can prevent this.

Can the medicine reduce appetite?

I don’t know too much about the medicine because I try not to take it if possible. They did offer me prozac in the past for the binge eating so I guess for those who are lucky it works, but everyone reacts differently to these medicines. Some people may even gain weight on it. I did not take it. So ultimately the choice is urs if u want to risk it with medicines. I never had bulimia so I don’t know what other medicines there are and how well they work.

Me too. But if i am in good mood, the symptoms will be relieved.

One of my alters has an eating disorder she’ll starve herself for days because she believes she is too fat. She’s slowly getting better with therapy though.
