Any body here do good with little sleep a day like 7 hours or under?

What meds are you on if any?

Nope. I need 8 hours of sleep every night or my symptoms start acting up. The 3-5 or less hours of sleep I got in high school sent me into one of the worst psychotic episodes of my life. Granted I wasn’t on meds back then because I didn’t know I had a problem.

Now I’m on Zoloft, Ativan and Trazodone. Was on Abilify but quit it due to nasty side effects. Will probably be starting Latuda in July when my therapist gets back.

Getting by with 8hrs a day aint bad.

Yeah it’s the recommended amount. As long as I’m on meds I can sleep fine but without them it takes me hours to fall asleep and I wake up numerous times a night.

I can go with that little sleep for a while, but I usually end up making up for it after a few days. Sometimes getting too much sleep is difficult for me. It’s like I lose all the adrenaline in my system, and I just want to sleep all the time.

Not me. I sleep a whopping 10 hours.

I sleep for about ten hours too.

I usually sleep 6 hours, waking all during the night. That’s fine; I’m used to it. A few times a month I’ll only sleep 2-4 hours. That’s not ok but I seem to get through. Sometimes along with those nights, I’ll get a no sleep at all night thrown in there, but not as often now as when I was in my teens-twenties. Sometimes I get an 7-8 hour night sleep, and after the initial panic has worn off I realize I feel rested. :sleeping::blush:

I usually sleep about 6 to 7 hours although occasionally i get more. The fact I’m not working at the current time makes me able to deal with it. I’m taking trazadone for the sleep. When I was working I was exhausted much of the time.

Yeah I have to get at least 8 hours of sleep in order to function the next day. If I don’t then my concentration and memory gets shot for the whole day. Then I get this weird “wired” feeling where I feel like I can do a lot of exercise but when I actually attempt to I immediately get fatigued. I take Geodon which makes me tired and Xanax and Melatonin to sleep.
