All video and phone pdoc sessions

My mental healthcare is all online now. Before the pandemic started, it was a lot of work to schedule and wait and see my Pdoc and Therapist in the office. I really am doing so much better with tele medicine. I have only seen my Pdoc through video. And my therapist and caseworker on the phone. It really helps reduce my anxiety so much not having to be in front of them and I can focus on what is going on with me. I don’t even have to get ready. It’s been great.

I only go to the office to get labwork. Every 6 mos. Anyone prefer seeing their care team in person?

I like meeting my case manager for a coffee in the town. Now my social anxiety has calmed its not too bad.

My pdoc only ever calls me as an urgent request

He never books time in any more

Currently struggling to get an appointment

Here in England, Covid has wrecked health services

I’m on a private insurance healthcare HMO system here in the US called Kaiser Permanente and they are the closest thing to socialized medicine. It’s an HMO but a huge network that takes care of all their patient needs from primary to specialists. I was on another healthcare plan where i had to go to several different hospitals and medical offices for each need. It was inefficient.
