I have a therapist appointment tomorrow morning and I might take it by phone because my back hurts. Do you still meet by phone with your pdoc and therapist?
I do video visits - super convenient and laid back
We do phone calls but my pdoc also does video chats.
My psychiatrist insists that I come in and see them physically.
It’s only for 10 minutes every 6 months though.
I prefer to see my pdoc and docs in person… It might be different if I had the equipement ot do it on PC.
BUt I dont like doing it on phone for multiple reasons.
- Ive dont it before and the links open in a browser that doesnt work with the software, so I have to copy it , which I am horrible at on phone, then paste it into a different browser.
- I do not like the small screen and being on my phone in general
- With the regular doc some of the stuff is better and results in a more thorough meeting if you can have physical contact…diabetes feet check, etc.
I always do telehealth visits with my therapist.
All my therapy and pdoc appointments are on the computer now.
Actually, haven’t seen either of them in-person since 2020
.
Yes, my current team (NP) uses video on my phone.
My pdoc visits are always either televideo or phone. I have never seen my current pdoc in person.
In Oakland I liked to see my pdoc personally, his office was in Chinatown and it was such a nice area to visit and just walk through. I wasn’t from there so it was marvelous to me.
Since coming back though all my psychiatric appointments are on Zoom. My Primary Care Physician likes to see me in person though.
I see my pdoc and therapist both in person and on video calls.
Tomorrow in person case management.
Prior everything was tele / video.
I cant concetrate, distracted by everything and high anxiety in person,
Most the time GP appointments are done over the phone for “unserious” illness where I live ever since COVID
I see my pdoc via video every month, I don’t mind.
