This is not needed and going to make artists who get no work.
Ai is depressing and will create chaos in the world. And the people making this tech knows this and don’t care.

i dont think so. it will make it more valuable. just like when the camera came out and everyone said it would ruin paintings, it didnt. theyre worth a ton. and when digital cameras came out and everyone said it woudl ruin film photography. now film photography is seen as like a specialty. it will just make art worth more.
There was barely any photo work before AI except for brides/weddings, being honest. I will enjoy using my cameras as much as ever so it is not my problem.
Very AI positive.
But non artist will no longer hire artist for their projects
No one has to learn drawing painting photography or videography
No one has to buy a drone for drone shots
Just prompt. Scene of Greece coast on a sunny day and it will spit out the video.
Have you seen the SORA videos made. It’s photo realistic video
To be honest, most of that video, while impressive, looked off, like not quite real. I just scanned it, though.
But I guess that’s beside the point.
This is the worst it will look.
They only get better.
It’s only been a year
Voiceover work is gonna be affected too. I hear one AI voiceover everywhere now
If it gets exponentially better.
No need to hire a graphic designer. Illustrator. Actor. Set designer. 3d artist. For lots of projects.
Why learn old school skills when the AI will take jobs away.
The starving artist will truly starve
The government will have to figure out how the economy will work when companies hire less and less people and build more so and robots
I doubt it will be as extreme as all that. But maybe this is the key to the shorter work weeks everyone seems to want. More people will flood into other fields and it will be viable to work part time.
AI will help in more fields than art too. Maybe it will be the key to the lifestyle so many people desire these days.
No one will know.
But corporations want to make more money so if they can fire 100 people and have 10 people to make prompts. They will.
I don’t see anything positive about ai. I wish I could stop the idiots developing it. It is a threat, and nobody has a grip on it.
Yes. My wife is an expert on AI and shows me this stuff. She speaks about it at conferences around North America.
I agree I think it’s kinda like machinery in the olden days coming about. We lost a bunch of jobs but they got allocated elsewhere. The world will change as a result but it won’t suddenly collapse.
You still have to make prompts etc for the a.i. so there will probably be more “prompt artists”. But yea. It’ll be as revolutionary as Photoshop has been to old style photography.
Ultimately the idea for an image must come from the human mind. You can look at a.i. as a new medium really
Pfft. The person who tells the artist what to make is an art director. If you tell an AI what to make you’re not an artist. That involves learning and perfecting a skill over a lot of years. I have a lot of fun mocking people online who prompt an AI and suddenly think they’re artists.
Lol well I bet the photographers who came before Photoshop though the same thing to be fair… Thinking it’s not real art… It’s not all about the initial prompt as well. There exists programs like Photoshop but with a.i. where you can say circle an object then type “remove” or something and it will do it for you.
Anyone who thinks photography was real before PS never saw Ansel working a print in the darkroom. They are also completely ignorant of photographic history.
It will affect artists the most. For them it’s not just about making money selling their work or skills. AI will be taking away significant part of their life’s purpose.
Similar thing will happen with dubbing/voice actors. And even actors/models who appear in commercials.
