I also think it has something to do with maybe life circumstances…

My sis is 18… she’s a year ahead in college… and trying to get into a nursing program…

Some of 16 to 18 years olds she works with are amazing… there are two friends of hers who’s family had a very harrowing tale of escaping out of North Korea… and managing to eventually land here… and they are so happy and positive and outgoing… Those two are very impressive kids. They have plans on becoming doctors and firefighters.

She also has some “friends” who come from the upper rich class part of the neighborhood and they are entitled brats who really don’t understand that the world doesn’t evolve around them… it’s odd.

I really think it’s hard to paint all kids today with the same brush.

Well no that argument has been overdone. “Don’t generalize” I think you get it though. These young people are not aware of politics or hot button topics. If I’m generalizing it’s from what I’ve observed.

I think that a lot of younger people probably are aware but are so used to be trolled on the internet that they have become numb to things that might be shocking to the older generations. I’ve been trolled so much online people can tell me to kill myself to my face and I just laugh at them. It’s natural to assume that everyone is just as thick skinned so it’s easy to say things that might seem insensitive to people that have not been exposed to so much shocking material their entire lives.

OK, fair enough. But you have to admit, she treats guys on here like their easy pickings. This is my last thought on the subject, I’m not into feuds.

Regardless of age or sex all of us have a contribution to make on these forums. Let’s not get hung up on older v younger posters.

Im 30 but I feel like I have much more in common with older folk. I was raised on 60’s and 70’s music. I think this is why. Music is powerfull. Im having a hamburger for lunch. Yum

I disagree. Mostly what sarad does is harmless flirting, just trying to have fun. If someone is dumb enough to fall in love with her, they deserve to have their heart broken.

I might be rude from time to time. I do try to make my posts valuable although some are just venting.

I feel like I’m part of the younger crowd.

I’m part of the older crowd. I am sometimes surprised by the insight the younger members show n this forum. I think that everyone provides a good balance and keep this forum alive where other forums fail.
