They shouldnt be allowed to do this without another doctor back up. Mine wrote me a script for 6 months and said that they should have replaced her by then. And they never did.
Relevant I will say this very softly. I fear for your life if you do not go back on your meds.
I still remember how high functioning you were on 6 mg Haldol.
Please take the meds again for the sake of yourself they ain’t dangerous or poison.
Trust me I’ve been on large doses of antipsychotics most of my life and I’m still alive and still slim and good looking.
Can a family member take you to the ER? @irrelevant
It sounds like you are in urgent need of care.
I agree with Jonathan that you may require hospitalization
i’ll never let that happen again. that to me is a major fear
Why is it a fear? You’re afraid of going to the hospital?
yes i hate hospitals. its torture for me to be locked in a place with other people
Can you talk to your mother about your paranoia?
I think you should reach out to someone.
idk. i told her some of this last summer but i dont want her to know really.
Yeah I can relate.
Do you have a mental health crisis line you can call, sometimes they are able to help.
I think you should take the meds prescribed to you and try not to worry about your heart. Pdocs go through many years of studying medicines and they wouldnt give you something that could endanger your life.
Ive been on zyprexa for over 20 years and it affects my heart, i get missed beats occasionally, but im still alive and well after taking it for so long.
i get skipped beats too. how long have u been having them?
All the time ive been taking zyprexa which was the year 2000
i’ll think about resuming my haldol. i jsut called it in with the benztropine. ill see if my PCP refills it. if she does i will consider restarting it cause that will give me a little more time on it before i would be forced to find a new doctor
I think resuming the haldol would be a smart move. Why dont you want it, is it just because you get skipped heart beats?
I’m 100% sure you are delusional and need to talk to your doctor ASAP.
i think thats the main reason. and when i was mixing it with abilify i had inverted t waves on the EKG. it just scares me that its ruining my heart
K well i dont know much inverted t waves. Did a pdoc prescribe for you haldol and abilify? If she or he did then id assume taking them would be safe.
yes a pdoc have me haldol and benztropine, and gave me some abilify when i wasnt taking haldol. but then she moved away and my primary was prescribing. then i felt real bad so i started mixing them and my primary then started prescribing them together.
i just counted up my benztropine (which i need if i want to take haldol again) and i have 7 months worth. i wasnt taking it a lot of the time and just being restless. so i could take haldol for almost 7 months before needing a new doctor.
