I haven’t smoked pot in 70 days today. I don’t think I would have made it this long if it wasn’t for @77nick77 giving me the link to Marijuana anonymous online. So a big thanks to Nick! I also have been putting the money a side that I spent on pot. Which is $60 a week and I now have $540 saved and it will be $600 this Friday. I don’t know what I am going to do with the money but its nice to have. Anyways, just thought I would share.
That is great mat
Thanks @riddled
That’s quite the chunk of change.
That’s awesome!! You keep going on like you are, you should be so proud!!
Nice one mat. I had to give up the pot when I was first hospitalised - can be pretty tough if your are psychological dependent on it. Haven’t smoked in years
Congrats! Keep up the good work!
Years…I cant wait to get to that point. I smoked it for almost 20 years. I was like 18 when I started and I am 38 now. I was really dependent on it. It got better though after the first few weeks. Those first few weeks were tough tho
Good job man. I stopped 7 months ago and from my experience you will see a big improvement in your stability, paranoia will not be as severe as when high and symptoms will definitely subside and become residual. If you give it enough time, some sort of occupation might creep in and who knows you might be able to realize your dream of becoming a truck driver!
When I quit I found it hard to sleep for a few nights. But soon I started having more vivid and memorable dreams (don’t think I dreamed whilst I was a smoker). Used to look forward to sleeping!
good work matt!
If I could just do the same with alcohol.
well done man,
pot is rot, thats what i say
keep it up
Congratulations Mat. Stick with it.
That’s cool Matt.
I noticed that I became psychologically dependant on it and I didn’t like that.
Yeah I kinda gave up one for the other.
But considering that I don’t do anything else but hang out and drink beers, surf the Internet, and listen to music I don’t think it’s all that bad.
I spent years drinking hardcore (full bottles of whiskey, vodka, rum etc.) and THAT was bad.
I love beer, but I’m trying to lose weight, so I am going to lay off the alcohol for a while. It’s not just the calories in alcohol, but when I’m drunk I might lose my resistance to eating. I got bloodwork done, and my cholesterol was 270 and I was close to becoming diabetic.
Yeah when I’m drinking beer I just munch like crazy.
I’m gonna get back into bike rides everyday.
I use to do 15-20 miles a day but I’m almost 40 now so my body is slowing down.
I’m fortunate to do 5 miles.
Congratulations
