Does anyone get severe anxiety on 2nd generation antipsychotics? i get the WORST nausea ever and can’t eat. I was prescribed Vallium to help with the sickness and it kinda takes the edge off but not that great. i want to be on 2nd gen as you get more dopomine (i deserve more dopomine as it makes you feel good) but my body just can’t hack it idk why… anyone else?

I get anxiety from Abilify.
I use supplements to take the edge off and I avoid coffee.

The only one I got horrendous deal breaking anxiety on was Abilify. Ive also been on Zyprexa and Geodon with no anxiety. Currently on Invega with no anxiety.

that’s so helpful at least i’m not the only one. It’s my doctors favourite drug to use and i wonder why…

I get anxiety from latuda but only after I take it.
I take latuda with dinner and get anxiety after that.
I’m good morning and day time but usually get anxiety and insomnia in afternoon after dinner.
I’m stable and good otherwise so will stay on latuda but may ask for anxiety medication and sleeping tablets.
I’ve never had anxiety from APs I’ve tried…

im on abilify 5mg currently and its giving me so much anxiety and akathisia im going to go down on my dosage

That’s f*cking awful when it gets intense.
I take 75mg of Trazodone at the same time as my AP (60mg Lurasidone) and it completely eliminates it. I haven’t experienced any akathisia since I started doing that.
I have had terrible anxiety ever since being on abilify. But its the best med ive tried in terms of sz positive symptoms for me somehow. Even though its meant to be one of the least effective ive heard.

I didn’t get anxiety on olanzapine, amisulpride and aripiprazole. I was on olanzapine and aripiprazole combo for a month. No anxiety due to it. It might have given me a bit of physical uneasiness for a day or two but not much.
Zotepine did give me occasional restlessness similar to panic attack.
