2 ap's, seroquel/abilify at the same time, is it dangerous?

At the moment i’m taking 200 mg seroquel / 10 mg of abilify and i’m feeling emotionally numb.

Is it safe to take to AP’s at the same time?

I want to stop abilify and might increase seroquel slightly instead to simplify my meds? I hate to many meds at the same time, since you do not know what is working.

Abilify is usually taken in morning cuz its activating. While seroquel at bedtime as it will sedate you

Yes, i take abilify in the morning, and seroquel at night, but i have heard that two taking two antipsychotic meds, might increase sideeffects

I also take aripiprazole max dose. And also 50mg of seroquel for sleep.

Because I’m on two I have to have regular blood pressure checks. And whatever else they do. It’s a concern but my second antipsychotic is only a low dose so I’m not so worried about it.

I dont think its dangerous. Some people are on 3 antipsychotics. But it depends on the side effect profile of the meds you r on.

Thanks @clinic @Qwerty , im less afraid to take them now. And im having blood test taken, BP and the rest, and everything is fine at the moment, so i dont need to worry.

Of course it’s safe. I take 5 aps at the same time. Clozapine, minitran, Nozinan, Solidon, plus the haldol injection

Abilify is best drug in terms of side effects profile but mediocre in terms of efficacy - it causes less weight gain, no high prolactin, less EPS side effects, no qtc prolongation, no major sedation.

While seroquel will knock you out in terms of sedation, It is too mediocre like abilify in terms of efficacy, It has moderate weight gain potential, it has low EPS side effects, it wont increase your prolactin.

Most effective meds from most effective to least effective for delusions are clozapine, amisulpride, olanzapine, risperidone [1]

I take 2 AP’S (amisulpride and olanzapine) and together they work better than each one alone.
