Is this a dangerous cocktail of meds?

Hey everyone!

Right now I’m on

  • 100mg seroquel (sleep and mood aid)

  • 5mg abilify (hallucinations)

  • 20mg apo-paroxetine (PTSD)

  • 100mg lamictal (mood aid)

I also take birth control and beta blockers for my heart. Sometimes i take an anticholinergic to help with the EPS i get from abilify.

Does this make sense or is my Pdoc turning me into a chemical dumpster?

I think it makes sense but I’m so paranoid these days!

Thanks <3

I’m not a doctor but those are low doses. I’m on high doses of 2 antipsychotics and 2 antidepressants and I’m doing really well.

100mg of seroquel is not much. I’m on 800mg+

Are you getting all of them from the same pharmacy? If so, they should tell you if any possible interactions.

Either way, bringing this lost in to talk to a pharmacist is your best bet.

all from the same pdoc and pharmacy!

If it was a dangerous combination the pharmacist would have absolutely informed you. They may have even refused to fill the scripts.

Those doses appear to be okay, but if you are concerned you could broach this subject with your pdoc just to make sure you’re not being over medicated. I don’t think you are, but then i’m not a doctor.

Those doses all actually seem very low

If you have schizophrenia then those doses of abilify and seroquel won’t do much for you.

Im schizoaffective but very sensitive to meds. The abilify controls the psychosis super well

Does your doctor plan on raising your doses?
Those are all low.
