so I’ve been on 15mg of risperidone for a couple of days. today when i took 2 pills after lunch, I became dizzy, I couldn’t speak clearly, I couldn’t walk, I was like high on weed. so I called my doc and he decreased the dose to 12mg. 1 pill in the morning, 1 pill at noon, 2 pills before sleep. i hope it will work.

Do u take anti side effect tab along with it…i am on anti parkison tab after rispredal…dont exactly know its name…

I am on an anti-akathisia med. but I don’t take it cos I don’t have akathisia yet. it was prescribed because of the high dose which may cause akathisia.

Keep taking it…u might get akathisa…prevention is better then cure .

That sounds like a HIGH dose I was only on like 1 or 2 mg!! Maybe see if you’re stable if your doctor will help check if you can lower your dose or not, sometimes you don’t need to be on as high a dose once you’re out of a psychotic episode.

I can barely tolerate 4mg.
Currently I’m taking 3mg.
15 mg is an extremely high dose.
Yeah, I don’t know how you do it.
Just be careful because the side effects should be plentiful at this high dose.

I don’t think I could handle that much. On the other hand I used to be on 240mg of geodon which is a really high dose. Now I’m on 160mg.

I looked it up and effective doses are up to 16mg so you’re safe.

Wow the highest I was ever on was 6 mg of risperdal, but of course that did nothing for my hallucinations.

Damn…the is the highest dose of risperdal I’ve ever heard! When I was on it they always said like 4 was practical. What other meds have you tried?

22 years ago I was on 16 mg.risperdone pr day over a period of two years. Some years later I was put on 1200 mgAmisulpride. I would say the worst experience of my life was risperidone.
