My doctor upped my dose

Hello everyone. How are you feeling? I hope better. I haven’t been online for months. Last month my doctor increased my dose of risperidone from 2mg to 4mg. It turns out I wasn’t getting any better cause the 2mg was too low for me. I feel absolutely amazing now, thinking positively about the future. My memory is still bad but I feel really great. I kept insisting that my doctor increase my dose for years but he didn’t agree. He finally agreed last month. I don’t think if ever felt this good before I have even started dating this really great lady and I see marriage as a possibility in my life now. I hope everyone here will feel better soon. How are you all coping with the corona virus pandemic? May God bring an end to this pandemic

I was taking 16mg risperidone. I couldn’t talk properly

Finding the right medication that works for a person and at the right dose matters a lot.

16mg is high. That’s why it affected your speech. So did you have to change medication or did your doctor lower the dose?

He lowered just for 1 mg, 15mg. After that, I changed pdoc

I can’t believe he only lowered it to 15mg. Its good that you changed your doc.I hope you are better now

I also take 4mg Risperidone, 3mg wasn’t enough, had paranoia.

That’s great, I’m glad you feel so good.

I’m also on 4mg of risperidone but I may ask my pdoc to lower my dose to 3mg.

I feel way too lethargic and sedated at 4mg.
