10 mins on the bike

My bf told me I don’t need to spend 45 or even 20 to 30 mins on the bike. He said to set myself a distance goal and try to reach that even if it is 2 km. Well I tried to do 10 mins today and was successful. A little bit over 2km but that’s ok. I was trying HIIT training. So I started off low intensity for a min and high for another min. It’s the first time I tried that. It’s not that difficult as I thought and it’s not boring. It is better than nothing and I can aim for more mins later. I am only going to do 3-4 days a week.

It is good to start slow.

The American heart assosciation recommends 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week.

Good idea @anon80629714!
Starting off slow is best!
I may do the same.

Awesome! Having a health goal is fantastic. I need to get back in the gym, too.

Hiit isn’t recommended until you’re in an intermediate shape. Start out slow or you’ll get hurt and or DOMS. Take care of yourself

Yeah good work! You have to start somewhere and just getting out there and doing it is great!

A nice start for exercise, @anon80629714 I’m thinking about to exercise more frequently myself. It’s spring now and this is a good season for less clothing and more movement.

30-45 minutes of exercise is meaningless if you don’t get your heart rate up. The intensity of the exercise counts which pushes yourself to the point where you maintain a target heart rate zone. I aim for a heart rate of 151-156 beats per minute for a minimum of 45 minutes. Usually I will sweat 2-3lbs or 1kg of sweat.

If your gonna try check out a link such as below

I found that exercising at home 10 minutes on the bike takes forever.

It goes much faster in the gym, maybe cos others are doing the same thing.

Let your bf set targets for himself, and you set your own targets.
