Zyprexa weight gain

i am on Solian, Zyprexa and Reagila. My problem is weight gain on zyprexa. can a doctor change it ?

I’m on Solian and Zyprexa too. Don’t know what to advise about the weight gain. I have gained a bit but I’m on a low dose of Zyprexa (5mg) so maybe that will help. The best is to speak about it with your pdoc.

Olanzapine made me put on a lot of weight.

I am just on Amisulpride now and I don’t seem to be getting heavier

im on zyprexa 20 years in that time I lost 6 stone twice…I need to lose 6 stone again…a bollox drug for weight gain

Sometimes pdocs will prescribe something like Metformin to combat the high blood sugar levels associated with Zyprexa. You could ask about that.

I gained 80 lbs. on olanzapine. I was eating a lot of fast food and it took me a lot of food to feel full. I currently lost 40 pounds. It took me a year and a half to lose this since I was losing 3 or 4 lbs per month. This was eating 1000 calories per day. It seems that my metabolism has slowed down while on olanzapine. I still feel hungry but do not act on this urge by eating more food.
