Zyprexa/Olanzapine during the day?

I am prescribed 15 mg zyprexa/olanzapine at “bedtime” (which for me is quite relative, as a college student). In a couple or few of hours after taking it knocks me out without warning. Yet by early evening i am having troubles and feeling like a fresh wound in my mind is being opened to the air. Does anyone take olanzapine/zyprexa during rhe day and if so what dose? Is it overly sedating?
Edit: been taking several other meds with less sedating issue during the day but quit for several issues

I take 15mg @ the night…

Do you find that sufficient carrying over into the day?

I take 7.5 mgs at night. It doesn’t really knock me out like it does most people. I’ve never tried it during the day but since it doesn’t make me sleepy at night in sure I could tolerate it during the day. Sometimes during the day I have mild psychotic episodes and I will take an extra zyprexa and a klonopin to come back down

I use klonopin too but its hard to keep at 2 a day max. Im using 1 mg

Yup same here. Although I’m considering changing to vraylar as my ap if my pdoc okays it.

I have done a little research on vraylar and am surprised my pdoc hasnt mentioned. The only reason i can think of is that it seems? To be be a glorified or updated geodon and geodon didnt work for me. Yet it is partial agonist like aripiprozole which worked well for me but i couldnt afford. Have you taken partial agonists before?

I’m not really sure what a partial agonist is lol. But I have taken abilify before and I did great on it however it was too sedating and we had to switch. I’ve also taken geodon before and that was a nightmare.

I take 15mg at night. I take 10mg in the morning. I do better taking it in 2 doses than taking all 25mg at once. Staying up without significant caffeine can be brutal. Lexapro and lamictal also help with anxiety so I can take decent amount of caffeine. Without caffeine I am out 12 to 16 hours a day. On the other hand I love sleeping on this stuff.

My dose of olanzapine (2,5mg) is too low to notice any sedation but I take it at night anyway. Doesn’t cause any side effects maybe only a little bigger appetite and weight gain. My main med amisulpride I take morning and evening. Fortunately no side effects from that as it’s moderate dose (200mg).

Olanzapine didn’t hold the psychosis off for me. The next day close to evening I would get psychotic. Very stressful, and then I had to wait to evening. I was on 20mg at 8pm.
