As 30 mg Zyprexa seems to be f-ing not enought, I have been forced to try various stuff along with it. i’m now on 4 mg fluanxol, which sucks ass big time.
my doc mentioned Abilify once (to be added to the Zyprexa) and i want to ask him to prescribe me that instead of the bloody flupentixol.
anyone on Abilify and Zyprexa at the same time ? or have you heard of anyone on the combination? is it even rational?

Abilify and Zyprexa are to be used together with caution, as the combination increases the risk of central nervous system depression. Symptoms of CNS depression can be heavy sedation, slowed breathing, slowed heartbeat, and dizziness.
As a former psych nurse, I’ve seen patients on this combo only a few times. But those patients seemed to do well on it.

My pdoc suggested that combination for me. But I don’t have it yet. She tried to increase Abilify first. It worked for me.
I have tried Abilify a few times but each time I was given it it made my depression a lot worse. So watch for the signs and inform your doctor if you start feeling different or worse. I have heard of a lot of people doing well on it though so I wish you the best of luck. =]
turned out he didnt want to add abilify. he said it would be to activating for me and i would probably flip out. thread closed I suppose.
I’ve tried the combination but it didn’t work for me. I had to switch to Invega and i’ve been on it for four years.
