Cbt is evidence based. I don’t like it tho, not for me.

Isn’t that an art form. I have tried it yes. I really enjoyed making the patterns.

I think cbt is a waist of time.

I can’t say - it’s something that has to suit your own preferences. I don’t like drawing so I would go with CBT. Drawing obviously brings you much joy so it could be different for you.

CBT is what lets me function on a maintenance dose of meds and maintain insight in the face of postitive symptoms so I can work at a highly renumerative vocation.

What makes you say that?

What about it doesnt work? I read a bunch of cbt books but it wasnt till i found one for psychosis that i was able to have a better use for it.

ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) helped for things I couldnt easily control.

Cbt for anxiety or depression books didnt do anything for me because that wasnt my issue. It has to he pretty specific and I think its hard to figure out how to do that from the internet.

In my case the mental health worker was useless. I was big into psychology (I spent a lot of time in the faculty of psychology’s library before beeing ill)and the stuff he told me I already knew or I was trying to put them into practice already.

I don’t remember ■■■■ about that knowlege, but I don’t think I need a paychologist rn.
