Your first time

Can you remember your first auditory hallucinations and what you did?

I was in a taxi that had static on the radio and I started hearing the voices of my friends. I was so freaked out I had him drop me off at a hospital where I continued to hear conversations beteeen my friends going on behind the curtain. They didn’t have a psych ward so I called my wife to pick me up. I was about 2 hours away from home.

I was half asleep and “someone” told me that all the “signs” I had been noticing during the last few days were true, I was in fact living in a Truman show, and everyone except me knew about it.
I woke up the next morning and googled my name + “Truman show”. Of course nothing came up. I reasoned “they” must be filtering up the result to keep me in the dark.

Then it spiraled down from there… :disappointed:

I’m still trying to figure out what I am hearing and why I hear it. Lots of thoughts.

ate some mushrooms, my first time hearing my friends

I just thought my neighbor’s radio was playing. I laid on my bed and listened to the music.

I remember my first visual, but not auditory.

I heard voices via white noise as a carrier. So I taped it on my old AKAI GX-630D reel to reel recorder.
Every time I played it back, I heard the exact same thing. Took me years to figure out why and how.

My old AKAI GX-630D still looks brand new to this day.

I don’t remember when I heard voices for the first time,

Or hallucinated.

But I do remember the first time “hallucination” addressed me,

It was terrifying.

I was sitting on my bass so and I felt a strain in my right temple and that’s when I heard the voices.

My first auditory hallucination was hearing music that wasn’t there. I was sitting in my living room in my apt in Philly, when I started hearing music that sounded just plain evil to me. At first I thought it was coming from a neighboring apt, but then I realized it was coming from all around me. I put on my headphones and started blasting music to try and drown it out, but I just heard a blend of the two. I was also fully delusional at the time, and I was taken to a hospital by police later that night.

I was weeded up at the time and heard a song come on my pc I had never heard before and wasn’t in my collection.

Tactiles were the first I experienced. I did have a crazy night and morning in the beginning where I heard things and voices. After that I only eheard voices a few times for years then I started hearing them a ton about four years ago. I’ve also thought I was having a Truman show experience.

I don’t remember the first time but I remember the first time I drove someone nuts with me reacting to it.

My first psych admission. It was nighttime, laying in bed I heard my name being called so I kept saying “what” “what” to my roomie. He must have gotten mad cuz he left the room and slept somewhere else.

Yeah I was with a girl and we were messing around during I thought she was speaking telepathically with me and I was amazed so I asked her in my mind if she could help me get my super powers back and she said yes and it all went silent in my head.

I heard what sounded like a gun shot hitting the side of my cabin. Scared me into running away. That caused my first hospitalization for mental illness.

Ummm I was 3 and heard men talking to each other in my fan and making repair noises like they were fixing it. I just thought my parents had hired someone to work on the fan, though I thought it was weird they had come so late. (Didn’t think it was weird they were INSIDE the fan :joy:)

I only got auditory stuff regularly when I was very young (3 to like 7) and never found it scary. Now I pretty much only experience them during sleep paralysis/when half asleep and even then they are quite rare. Don’t know what changed to make that the case.

I honestly don’t remember. I’ve always had this, so before I was able to put into words that that was what was happening to me, it had been gradually happening more and more for years.

My first time I saw a freaking Boeing 747 nosediving 100 feet above the ground until it disappeared. It made me go into a psychosis because I thought it was me who made the plane disappear. I hadn’t had hallucinations before that so it just seemed more logical that I saved the plane at the time. Idk it was so weird.

They kept saying “He doesn’t have a girlfriend” then they said “We’ll get you a girlfriend” I would hear people screaming things from a distance and when I would walk around to investigate there was nobody around outside. I wanted so bad to find those ■■■■■■■ s. More so that I could make them shut the ■■■■ up than that I believed they would help me in any way.
I was 14.

almost 23 years later and I still hear this “He doesn’t have a girlfriend” ■■■■■■■■ 10-25 times a day.
