You guys have inspired me

I think I’m gonna become a vegetarian???

I really like lentils…and beans…and stuff like that. But I’m not huge on veggies. But there are a lot of veggies I DO like. Lentils have protein. I’m not sure if I will still eat seafood. My sister is a vegetarian and eats seafood so maybe I will eat seafood. But I need to really learn how to become a vegetarian. I love chicken but it’s starting to gross me out??? I think I will become a vegetarian but it may take a transition period.

me personally love leafy greens + vegetable soup etc and fruits.

I do not crave meat. I do not like the idea of growing an actual animal to kill it for food. I think I read a study and it is much reasonable to eat rabbits instead of chickens?!

anyway, just make sure you read a lot of articles, learn recipes so you can make good food etc.
Almost all supermarkets have a lot of vegan products and guess what? You absolutely can not tell the difference between meat and faux meat. Except the blood and veins :unamused:

Yeah I talked to my mom about it she said I should ask my sister the expert, but I like the idea of eating lentils, nuts, avacados, legumes and cheese and beans and stuff for protein. Sounds not only healthy but it sounds fun!!!

I bought a whole array of canned vegetarian meals. And peanuts as a protein snack to eat.

The guy didn’t believe it was my credit card and asked for my ID and made me go home to get my ID to prove it was my credit card. Damn thief’s in the world making it tough for us honest folk!!

Yeah it was just a corner grocery store. I bought 2 lentil soups, rice, black eyed pees, cannenelli white kidney beans and 6 packs of peanuts. I have pizza for dinner tonight. I will make rice and beans tomorrow and maybe get some guacamole and stuff to go with it. yum.

If you want to make sure you’re still getting proper nutrients, you can try using MyFitnessPal. It tracks your protein, calcium, and a bunch of other nutrients. It’s pretty easy to use. You just scan the barcode of your food, or type the food name into the search bar.

That’s a cool app then  Thanks @Ninjastar

I not only feel guilty about eating the animals but now I have hope to live a long prosperous life on the new meds. So I want to be as healthy as possible. I told my mom. And then she was convinced.

She’s never been a vegetarian, although my dad was for 6 years and my sister for about the past 12 years, so she doesn’t get it, but when I put it like that she was sympathetic towards my decision. I will download myfitnesspal right now.

 all the best … pescatarian or vegetarian… doesn’t matter … the main thing is you eat more veggies …

Oh and if you want to give it up straight away it’s fine but you might want to consider a flexitarian diet to start

My friend is coming over in a half an hour. I guess he’s a flexitarian because he was talking about this vegetarian store that he goes to all the time. But says he loves eating meat too. Maybe we will go to the Turkish restaurant for dinner instead of pizza??? They probably have good vegetarian options. It would be nice to lose 10 lbs too so this myfitness app is good for that too. It says 1 pound a week is recommended so don’t wanna do it too quick. But my friend is on clozaril and in weight watchers so its the perfect friend to be the first to discuss this with in real life considering he likes to eat vegetarian stuff too. Can’t wait for him to get here and meet don juan too

Yeah, I’ve lost 35 lbs so far using MyFitnessPal. I started out doing 1 lb a week, but now that I’m in a healthy weight range I cut down to 1/2 lb per week. I simply can’t manage the calorie deficit required to lose 1 lb a week anymore. It had me at like 1300 and that’s insane. 1500 is a much more realistic goal.
