What kinds of foods do you eat in a typical day?

What kinds of foods do you eat in a typical day? Does any specific diet seem to help? There is a lot of talk on here about supplements, but what about food?

In a typical day I have a subway, spicy italian, and for dinner I generally have chicken and potatoes or rice.

Meat and vegetables and dairy.

Unfortunately I am addicted to coke zero, but today all I had to drink was a protein shake and ice tea. It definitely helps to drink healthy drinks in the morning when you first get up.

I can’t eat red meat because I have high cholesterol.

Well today I ate 5 tortillas 15 deli slices of turkey 5 pepper jack cheese slices. 1 glass orange juice. Half of a bottled smoothie (4 serving fruits/veggies). 1/2 gallon of tea.

Diet does help. The only supplement I take is called 5 HTP its basically a serotonin precursor. Supposed to stabilize mood and reduce anxiety.

South Beach approach will take off weight best. It is like Atkins but you can have fruit & oatmeal. The psych meds cause a pre-diabetic state which makes processing the white carbs (flour, sugar, white rice, potatoes) more difficult & weight gain results, sometimes diabetes.

Exercise & lift weights for better results.

I eat a plant-based diet. Fruits veggies and grains.

todays diet was. porridge or oatmeal, celery sticks with houmous, a few slices of chorizo, mexican bean burger, spicy potato wedges and salad…then around eleven thirty pm, it all went to ■■■■ and i had a cheese and onion toastie :frowning: naughty bealie!!! so apart from the cheese and egg in the mayo on the burger, plus the 3 slices of chorizo, i had a vegan day. i think i need two vegetarian days a week at least to clear my body of dairy and meat products…tomorrow is a meat day. roast chicken, pigs in blankets, roast potato, sweet potato, roast parsnips, greens, broccoli, leeks mornay, yorkshire puddings and gravy and stuffing…can’t fookin wait!!! i love a roast dinner…all those different vegetables…lovin it :slight_smile: tomorrows breakfast will be porridge again or muesli with cappacino soy milk…lunch will be more celery and raw carrots with houmous, then the humungous roast…looking forward to this defo. :slight_smile:

Been eating a lot off eggs lately. Had chicken tonight (don’t usually do that). Love cheese. Kettle corn is my favorite treat.

I just had BBQ boneless chicken and rice. I had one chicken breast. I ate nothing else today, although I had two 15 gram protein shakes. I had a coke with dinner and that was all I had today. I feel better not drinking coke.

I had a 2 six packs of Samuel Adams Rebel I PA and 1arbys fish sandwich (it’s not real fish but a evil derivative( and a Arby’s French dip which was OK but not the same thing as the Safeway French dip from years ago.

My pop would buy one of them after the counter closed for the night and they were more than happy to give it up for 50% off.

Those were the days.

Oh sorry… On a typical day?

Lotsa pasta and tuna sandwich.

Some people don’t like tuna sandwich but I love them.

I have Greek yogurt and granola in the morning, and veggie burgers with Brussels sprouts for dinner. If I’m going to the gym I also eat a grilled cheese or scrambled eggs for lunch. Occasionally I will have a bowl of ice cream instead of one of my meals I have a very boring diet. Geodon took all the fun out of food for me, but I look great and I make sure to get the required amount of calories to support my activity level every day. I think a lot of people feel better on the low sugar diet. Fake sugar doesn’t count as avoiding sugar either.
