My psychiatrist said that she was all for me trying Rexulti.
She wants me to stay put on Risperidone for a while longer since I just got out of the Hospital.
She said that I could switch Antipsychotics sometime in 2017.
From her reaction I think that she likes Rexulti.
Hopefully I’ll make the switch soon.
2017 is around the corner.
It is related to Abilify but from what I’ve gathered here and other sources it does not cause a lot of anxiety like Abilify does.
Abilify was too stimulating for me but they say that Rexulti is not as activating.
I’m hoping for the best.
Vraylar was the most activating AP I’ve ever been on.
It was unbearable to be on.
More stimulating than Abilify.
I take 3mg Rexulti in the morning, the only possible side effect is weight gain, about 40lbs, I thought it was the seroquel but maybe I was wrong. Then I take 40mg Latuda in the evening. I think the advantage of Rexulti for you will be that it is more similar to the other atypicals (like risperidone) than abilify is. This might be an advantage to you because you did well on Abilify and better on risperidone.
Mine has actually stopped completely. I started taking vitamin D and lowered the strength of my coffee, and then it stopped. I’m afraid to stop taking vitamin D now!
Yeah my thumb only twitches once in a blue moon @everhopeful.
Once in a while my left thigh area will twitch a bit.
I’m not so concerned any more.
I’m glad that your thumb stopped twitching.
