How insane is that?! For a med that just knocks you out! Dang!! That’s 110% a product of monopoly I bet, considering only one pharmacy sells it. That is just absurd. Basically if my appeal to insurance fails, I’m screwed there and am stuck with mix and matching different meds for sleep & a stimulant forever. Wow.

That’s some price gouging bs if I’ve ever seen it. I almost died seeing how much my meds would’ve cost without insurance before. That would send me directly to the grave.

Big pharma is full of greedy pigs that care more about lining their own pockets then the lives and quality of life of their consumers.
A business which provides CRITICALLY NECESSARY FOR STAYING ALIVE OR FOR BEING A FUNCTIONAL MEMBER OF SOCIETY should not be allowed to charge 5,000+% of what it costs to make their product. That is in my view akin to a crime against humanity, just as bad as corrupt officials in third world countries who gobble up foreign funds meant to provide their people with food, water, infrastructure, etc. It is on the exact same level.
And no one can do anything because the pharmaceutical company is so incredibly powerful. The execs just chill on their yachts while people who can’t afford their products because of the exorbitant overpricing suffer and die.

Even if your insurance pays for it, what would your copay be?
We’ve met our full deductible this year so they’d have to cover all of it lol. Probably why they’re understandably reluctant to deal with that.
